Tunnel Hill, Ga. She was born in Indiana and lived a majority of her life in Farmersville, Ohio, before living 20-plus years in Bradley County and finally moving to Tunnel Hill five years ago. She was a member of Spring Place Church of God of Prophecy. She was retired from First Tennessee Bank. She was known for her hospitable manner with people, and loved spending time with her family and friends. She was the daughter of the late Nelson and Belva Johnson; and also was preceded in death by her four siblings: Frances Johnson, Connie Johnson, Cheryl Johnson and Steve Johnson.She is survived by her husband of 55 years as of Aug. 31, Ed Comley; four children: Kimberly Eldridge and her husband, Rodney, of Taylor Mill, Ky., Edward “Chey” Comley Jr., and his wife, Lisa, of Germantown, Ohio, Crystal Cochran, and her husband, Keith, of Tunnel Hill, and Matthew Comley, and his wife, Rachell, of Ringgold, Ga.; 16 grandchildren: Leah, Stephanie, David, Jason, Stephen, Abigail, Molly, Jonathan, Luke, Emma, Kaitlyn, Dara, Drew, Victoria, Ashlyn and Jeb; one great-grandchild, Amelia; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 2, 2017, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with pastors Wade Patterson, Ronald Wright, Rodney Eldridge, and Evangelist David Eldridge officiating. William 'Walter' Gambrill

Born on September 24, 1931, in Highland, Md., he was the son of the late Raymond and Evelyn Earp Grambrill. He is preceded in death by a son-in-law, Alan Stanton.Walter preached the gospel for 26 years at the Zion Community Church in Ellicottville, N.Y. He filled many pulpits through the years in the states of N.Y., Pa., Md., Va., and W.Va. He attended the Moody Bible Institute Correspondence Courses in Chicago, Ill., Elohim Bible Institute in Castile, N.Y., and the Bible Truth Institute in Sunberry, Pa. Most recently he attended the Hebron Baptist Church in Gore. Walter was a veteran of the Unites States Marine Corp during the Korean War and was a member of the American Legion Post 137 in Capon Bridge. He was a carpenter by trade and had a love of woodworking. Walter married Janice Richardson Gambrill on January 18, 1958, in Highland, Md.Surviving along with his wife of 59 years is a son, Daniel “Dan” Gambrill (and Betsy) of Summerville, S.C.; 3 daughters, Bonnie Harvey (and Curtis) of Capon Bridge, Deborah Drew (and Michael) of Goose Creek, S.C., and Barbara Stanton (and her late husband Alan) of Depew, N.Y.; and 7 grandchildren, Samuel, Jacob, William, Danielle, Colt, Kylie and Emma.A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 3, at Giffin Funeral Home and Crematory in Capon Bridge with Pastor Samuel Harvey officiating.
